Painting with Light

Yesterday in class we did an in class work shop with sparklers and glow sticks. the idea was to drag the shutter to get the effect that you are indeed painting with light. I've done this for a long time its just way too much fun :D . i started 3 years ago with a buddy of mine, we decided to try out the effects.( examples below)

                                    
                                      

I also did some over the Christmas break. I was in Labrador with family, we got some cool shots from new years.

on to christmas break

so now that im finished for the holidays, ill be taking the long drive home 6 hours..

coming to an end.

First semester of second year is FINISHED!
today the pre-lim portfolio was due.

all thats left is my interview on the 9th.

My newest project is a painting. a self portrait so to speak. I needed to rid the stress of all the photographing, and deadlines, and perfection. painting relieves stress for me.

its really bad quality, since i took the picture of it with my phone. its not quite finished.
started today, had a few breaks, it usually takes me 3 hours tops to finish something like this.
but i decided to dedicate time to each individual part of detail. i want it to look as good as i can possibly make it !

This Halloween, I spent the morning in an Airplane hanger photographing a very close friend of mine .
Airplanes are in the Family. Her Dad and Brother are both pilots.

They turned out amazing :)  I'm Super pleased with them, even though I shot with my Rebel XTI.
Had one small flash, mounted on the camera, and a reflector board.

Changes.

I have a new tattoo.
And I also now have red hair.


I guess you could say its time for a change, a new beginning, a fresh start.
Something to brighten the mood.
